The Camino de Santiago Pilgrim Walk
The Region & Its Treasures
"An active holiday escape for those wanting to experience a deeply personal and transformative journey, whilst immersing themselves in the local culture and enjoying a touch of luxury "
The Camino de Santiago — literally the "Way of St. James" — is Europe's ultimate pilgrimage route. Since the Middle Ages, pilgrims have walked hundreds of miles across Northern Spain to pay homage to the remains of St. James in the city named for him, Santiago de Compostela.
Spain's famous pilgrimage trail, El Camino de Santiago, has become one of the most popular walking vacations and spiritual journeys in Europe - bursting with regional culture, historic cities, and some of the greatest food available, from Michelin Star quality to hearty regional classics.
The journey will take you through quaint villages, endless green meadows, and rolling hillsides. This well-worn path is symbolically marked by the image of a scallop shell with yellow arrows that help guide our way.
There is so much more to our pilgrimage.
A deep spiritual sense accompanies the walk, whether you are looking for it or not. Ten full days infused with mindfulness and woven with wellness-inspired retreat activities. Guests undertake pilgrimages for a multitude of reasons and it is meeting these fellow pilgrims, hearing their stories, and sharing this adventure with them that will make your Camino Walking Retreat a life-changing event.
We cater to all levels of fitness and therefore have chosen an easier walk along the coast experiencing the final 122+km of the the Camino Portuguese Coastal Way. Our customised and bespoke walking retreat infuses a walking experience with luxury accommodation, three meals a day made up of fine local artisan foods, and even a cheeky glass (or 2) of wine with dinner, meaning you only need to think about one thing......placing one foot in front of the other. Bien Camino!
