Are you ready for a journey that will challenge you, inspire you and immerse you in the landscapes, flavours and traditions of Portugal and Galicia?
Welcome to the Camino de Santiago Coastal Portuguese Way—a small-group mindful walking retreat unlike any ordinary active holiday.
Experience the Magic of the Camino
For centuries, pilgrims have followed the ancient paths leading to Santiago de Compostela. Today, the Camino remains one of Europe’s great journeys—and we’ve created a very special way to experience it: thoughtfully paced, deeply personal and with a few more comforts than the traditional pilgrim might expect.
Portugal to Santiago, Along the Coast
Beginning in beautiful Viana do Castelo, we walk approximately 198 kilometres through northern Portugal and Galicia. The trail takes us beside the wild Atlantic, through fishing villages, forests, vineyards and historic towns—guided by the familiar scallop shells and yellow arrows all the way to Santiago.
But our pilgrimage offers so much more than a scenic journey.
More Than a Walk
The Camino is a physical journey, but its real magic often happens within. Mindfulness is woven gently throughout our days, creating space to slow down, reconnect and experience the journey fully.
Along the way, we’ll share stories, laughter, wonderful food and the kind of conversations that seem to happen naturally when we walk together.
The Camino—Done Differently
This is not an albergue-and-bunk-bed Camino. You’ll stay in carefully chosen hotels, paradors and character-filled properties, with private rooms, luggage transfers and delicious local food—including, naturally, a well-earned vino with dinner.
Our group is intentionally small, allowing us to walk at a mindful pace while still experiencing the challenge, camaraderie and beautifully unpredictable nature of a true Camino.
Your Only Task: Take One Step at a Time
We take care of the logistics so you can be fully present for the journey—the changing landscapes, the people you meet and whatever the Camino reveals along the way.
Come walk from Portugal to Santiago with us.
Bom Caminho. Buen Camino.
Lisa

Hello,
I'm Lisa Marie Staab
Conscious Living Mentor & Mindful Foodie
I’m a retreat facilitator, Camino guide, and Conscious Living Mentor with a background that blends mindfulness, wellness, food, and travel — and a deep love of creating experiences where people can genuinely slow down, reconnect, and feel well cared for.
I’m a Certified Mindfulness & Meditation Teacher and Wellness Mentor, a trained chef, and (because why not) I also hold a Diploma of International Travel. I’m a member of Meditation Australia, the Wellness Tourism Association, and I work as a Fora Travel Advisor, which means the retreats I design are not only meaningful — they’re professionally planned, responsibly run, and thoughtfully curated.
I’ve been hosting small, intentionally paced retreats for several years now, weaving together mindful walking, nourishing food, rest, and real conversation — alongside evidence-informed principles from the Blue Zones (think longevity, community, and living well for the long haul).
My approach brings mindfulness out of the meditation room and into real life — on the trail, at the table, and in the everyday moments that actually shape how we live.
I’m also a LUXlife Award-winning retreat facilitator, a mother to two (adult now), an ex-corporate chick turned life adventurer, and someone who believes deeply in good food, shared laughter, and creating spaces where people feel safe to simply be themselves.
At the heart of everything I do is this:
retreats that are grounded, human, and beautifully run — without fluff, pressure, or pretence.

An adventure like no other
"Lisa prepared a fun and engaging experience for our group. The schedule was well planned, allowing for flexibility and personal preferences. Hotels were selected with careful consideration and little surprises were embedded throughout the week. Dani, our interpreter, used her linguistic skills to ensure that all of our needs were met and her humor to entertain us. Guided meditation opportunities enhanced relaxation and spiritual growth. Most importantly, our group created friendships and experiences that I will cherish forever."

"the best possible camino journey"
"This experience provided the best possible Camiño journey. Lisa is outstanding in every way. Her organizational/communication skills combined with her ability to find the best solution when the Camiño presents a challenge ( the power outage), only reinforced the need to be present on this adventure. The beautiful accommodations/ amazing food and mindfulness exercises further enhanced the experience. It was truly an epic experience that brought me peace, joy and understanding. Doesn’t get any better.
- Janet, USA ~ April 2025
