TWO EXPERIENCED HOSTS

One Shared Love of The Camino

IMG_1670.jpeg

For this very special 2027 journey, Lisa will be joined by Sahara Sotomayor as co-host and Camino guide.

Lisa and Sahara have walked three Caminos together. Sahara first joined two of Lisa’s retreats as a guest before they returned to walk their third as friends, united by a shared love of the Camino, its people and the way it invites us to slow down, pay attention and connect more deeply.

Together, they bring complementary experience in mindfulness, yoga, movement, wellbeing and retreat facilitation.

Sahara also speaks fluent Spanish, adding another layer of cultural connection and practical support throughout the journey.

With two experienced hosts accompanying this intimate group, you’ll receive more individual support, greater flexibility and two people genuinely invested in helping you experience the Camino in your own way.

Are you ready for a once-in-a-lifetime journey that will not only transform your soul but also immerse you in the heart and soul of Spain?

Welcome to the Camino de Santiago Pilgrim Walk (Portuguese Way) – an active holiday escape like no other.

Experience the Magic of the Camino
For centuries, pilgrims have embarked on this epic adventure, traversing Northern Spain to honor St. James in Santiago de Compostela. Today, the Camino de Santiago has evolved into Europe's ultimate pilgrimage route, and we've curated an extraordinary retreat experience that blends tradition with luxury.

Explore Spain's Hidden Treasures
Picture yourself walking through picturesque villages, across endless green meadows, and over rolling hillsides. Not to mention the vineyards! The Camino trail is marked by the iconic scallop shell and yellow arrows, guiding you every step of the way.

But our pilgrimage offers so much more than a scenic journey.

A Journey of the Heart and Soul
The Camino is not just a physical trek; it's a spiritual odyssey. Over 11 unforgettable days, you'll immerse yourself in mindfulness and wellness-inspired retreat activities. Supported by two experienced retreat hosts, surrounded by a small group of fellow pilgrims, you’ll have space to walk at your own pace, share stories, form genuine connections and experience the Camino as both a personal and shared journey.

Tailored for Every Adventurer
No matter your fitness level, our retreat caters to all. We've carefully chosen the last leg of the Camino Portuguese Way, for a manageable 120km experience. But this is no ordinary walk – it's a fusion of luxury accommodations, delectable daily meals featuring the finest local artisan foods, and of course, .... an evening vino with dinner.

Your Only Task: Take One Step at a Time
Let us handle the details; your focus should be on the incredible journey ahead. So, what are you waiting for?
Embrace the Camino de Santiago Pilgrim Walk, and let the transformation begin.

Buen Camino!

Note: If you're coming with your partner and want a double room - just let me know and we can facilitate that too.

Hello,
I'm
Lisa Marie Staab

Mindfulness Teacher • Retreat Host • Longevity Mentor • Chef • Traveller

I’m a retreat host, Camino guide and mindfulness teacher with a background that blends wellbeing, food and travel—and a deep love of creating experiences where people can genuinely slow down, reconnect and feel well cared for.

I’m a Certified Mindfulness & Meditation Teacher and Wellness Mentor, a trained chef and—because why not—I also hold a Diploma of International Travel. I’m a member of Meditation Australia and the Wellness Tourism Association, and I work as a Fora Travel Advisor. This means the retreats I create are not only meaningful, but professionally planned, responsibly run and thoughtfully curated.

I’ve been hosting small, intentionally paced retreats for several years, weaving together mindful walking, nourishing food, rest and real conversation—alongside evidence-informed principles from the Blue Zones: longevity, community and living well for the long haul.

My approach brings mindfulness out of the meditation room and into real life—onto the trail, around the table and into the everyday moments that shape how we live.

I’m also a LUXlife Award-winning retreat facilitator, a mother of two adult children, an ex-corporate chick turned life adventurer, and someone who believes deeply in good food, shared laughter and creating spaces where people feel safe to simply be themselves.

At the heart of everything I do is this: retreats that are grounded, human and beautifully run—without fluff, pressure or pretence.

Hello,
I'm
Sahara Sotomayor

Yoga Teacher, Curious Wanderer & Intentional Facilitator

I’m a yoga teacher, retreat facilitator and lifelong traveller with a background spanning movement, health, fitness and public health and a deep curiosity about the many ways we can live, move and experience the world more intentionally.

Yoga has been part of my life for more than 35 years. I hold both 200-hour and 500-hour yoga teacher qualifications, a Bachelor of Science in Fitness, Nutrition and Health, and a Master of Public Health with emphases in Epidemiology and Biostatistics.

Before becoming an international flight attendant, I spent more than a decade working as a fitness instructor and later as a fitness director in San Diego. My experience across community, corporate, private and commercial settings has shaped me into a warm and adaptable facilitator. I’ve also hosted retreats for those wishing to deepen their yoga practice and for yoga teachers undertaking continuing education.

I’ve walked several Camino de Santiago routes and hiked sections of California’s Big Sur and the Appalachian Trail. I’ve also spent extended periods living in Puerto Rico, Italy and Nepal, studying Italian in Italy and exploring the spiritual foundations of yoga while in Nepal.

I speak fluent Spanish and love the deeper cultural connection that comes from meeting people in their own language.

My approach to yoga centres on intention, breath and presence. I believe yoga can happen anywhere; on the mat, along the trail or within the ordinary moments of everyday life.

I’m also the mother of a wonderful adult daughter, devoted to my two dogs, and happiest when travelling, reading, running or exploring somewhere new.

At the heart of my approach is childlike curiosity: meeting life one breath, one step and one experience at a time.

"the best possible camino journey"

"This experience provided the best possible Camiño journey. Lisa is outstanding in every way. Her organizational/communication skills combined with her ability to find the best solution when the Camiño presents a challenge ( the power outage), only reinforced the need to be present on this adventure. The beautiful accommodations/ amazing food and mindfulness exercises further enhanced the experience. It was truly an epic experience that brought me peace, joy and understanding. Doesn’t get any better.
