Where Longevity, Ancient Wisdom & Wild Beauty Meet.
Translucent seas that shimmer like glass. Rust-red cliffs tumbling into hidden coves. Sparkling quartz beaches. Mountain villages wrapped in silence and time. Sardinia is no ordinary island—it’s a land that lives and breathes mystery.
– Lonely Planet (and I couldn't agree more).
But Sardinia isn’t just beautiful—it’s wise.
This is a place where people live longer, more vibrant lives, not because of high-tech hacks or trends, but because of how they live: through connection, simplicity, purpose, and food that comes straight from the land (and often a grandmother’s kitchen).
And that’s exactly what we’ll immerse ourselves in during The Secrets of Sardinia—a 7-night journey into Blue Zones living, ancient sacred sites, wild nature, and slow food culture, all experienced through a deeply authentic lens.
We’ll cook with locals, walk the land, share stories, eat slowly, and laugh loudly—because that’s what long life is really made of.
This is for the curious, the seekers, the ones who feel the pull of something deeper.
In collaboration with Davide from Dran Experience, we’ve crafted a retreat that goes well beyond the usual.
No crowds. No guidebooks. Just the raw, wild spirit of Sardinia, seen through the eyes of someone who knows it intimately.
If you’re ready to sit at the long table, taste joy, and uncover the quiet beauty that still exists in the world—come join us for The Secrets of Sardinia.
This is not just a retreat. It’s an experience that will stay with you long after your suitcase is unpacked.

Slow Food
in Sardinia's Blue Zones
‘Organic’ and ‘slow food’ are modern-day buzzwords for what Sardinia has been doing for centuries.
Trawl the interior for farms selling their own pecorino, salami and full-bodied Cannonau red wines; buy artistic looking loaves and almondy sweets from bakeries and confectioners in Cagliari and Nuoro; and tuck into a smorgasbord of seafood. Sample the lot at a rustic agriturismo.
Sweet, buttery ricotta, lobster, red prawns and mullet from the Med, wild thyme, rosemary, myrtle and juniper, sun-ripened olives and citrus fruits, farm-raised lamb and suckling pig cooked on an open spit – nowhere does slow food like Sardinia. Throw in mountain and sea views, fine home-produced wines, own takes on pasta and winningly fresh farm produce and you are looking at a great culinary experience. Simple but great.
A land of longevity, cradle of food and wine traditions with a simple and marked character, when it comes to flavours Sardinia needs no introduction. The abundance of sunlight and a pristine environment bestow unique and genuine flavours to our products from the land and sea. Close your eyes and start savouring...
People live longer in Sardinia because they eat better!

Alghero, Sardinia
Alghero, often referred to as one of Sardinia's prettiest towns, with her golden sea walls, built around the centro storico by the Aragonese in the 16th century, are a highlight of the town's historic cityscape.
Running from Piazza Sulis in the south to Porta a Mare and the marina in the north, they're crowned by a pedestrianised path that commands superb views over to Capo Caccia on the blue horizon.
Cobbled caramel coloured streets are shaded by Gothic Palazzi and enlivened by busy squares bubbling with the restaurants and bars that line the walkway, providing the perfect perch to sit back and lap up the holiday atmosphere. Perhaps sipping a cocktail as you watch the sun set over the ocean?
I'm thinking the daily produce market in the heart of the old town is a must one morning for our days deliciousness.
A short trip from Alghero finds us at Porto Conte & Capo Caccia Known more poetically as the Baia delle Ninfe (Bay of Nymphs), Porto Conte is a lovely unspoiled bay, its blue waters home to an armada of bobbing yachts and its green shores thick with mimosa and eucalyptus trees. Much of the bay, including Capo Caccia, the dramatic headland that marks its southernmost point, is covered by a regional nature reserve. The scenery around here is superb as towering white cliffs sheer up from impossibly blue waters and thrilling seascapes unfurl at every turn

Experience Authentic Sardinian Living at Villa Ulivo
Set within a 12-hectare working olive grove just outside the beautiful coastal town of Alghero, Villa Ulivo offers a deeply grounding and quietly luxurious retreat experience.
This private villa, nestled within a family-run olive estate, is surrounded by centuries-old trees, open space, and birdsong — the kind of place that invites you to slow down the moment you arrive.
And yes… the estate produces its own exceptional extra virgin olive oil — fresh EVOO straight from the land, anyone!?
Villa Ulivo boasts its own private swimming pool, offering ample space to relax, soak up the Sardinian sun, or enjoy a quiet afternoon with a book. Shaded terraces, outdoor dining areas and a BBQ make it easy to unwind while taking in the peaceful surroundings of the grove.
Inside, Villa Ulivo offers spacious and comfortable accommodation designed for ease and connection.
A fully equipped kitchen allows us to cook, gather, and enjoy our nourishing gourmet meals together — one of the simple pleasures of retreat life.
While the villa itself is completely private, being part of the wider estate allows us access to beautiful walking paths throughout the property, olive oil tastings, and a fantastic on-site restaurant serving traditional Sardinian dishes — giving you an authentic taste of local life and a rhythm that naturally aligns with Blue Zones living.
Villa Ulivo is perfectly positioned for both relaxation and exploration, just 13km from Alghero Marina and approx. 9km from the historic Nuraghe di Palmavera archaeological site — offering an unexpected step into Sardinia’s ancient past.
The nearest airport, Alghero–Fertilia Airport, is approximately 8 km away, keeping travel logistics simple.
This is Sardinia experienced as it should be — grounded, generous, and quietly unforgettable.
Hello,
I'm Lisa Marie Staab
Conscious Living Mentor & Mindful Foodie
I’m a retreat facilitator, Camino guide, and Conscious Living Mentor with a background that blends mindfulness, wellness, food, and travel — and a deep love of creating experiences where people can genuinely slow down, reconnect, and feel well cared for.
I’m a Certified Mindfulness & Meditation Teacher and Wellness Mentor, a trained chef, and (because why not) I also hold a Diploma of International Travel. I’m a member of Meditation Australia, the Wellness Tourism Association, and I work as a Fora Travel Advisor, which means the retreats I design are not only meaningful — they’re professionally planned, responsibly run, and thoughtfully curated.
I’ve been hosting small, intentionally paced retreats for several years now, weaving together mindful walking, nourishing food, rest, and real conversation — alongside evidence-informed principles from the Blue Zones (think longevity, community, and living well for the long haul).
My approach brings mindfulness out of the meditation room and into real life — on the trail, at the table, and in the everyday moments that actually shape how we live.
I’m also a LUXlife Award-winning retreat facilitator, a mother to two (one adult, one teenager), an ex-corporate chick turned life adventurer, and someone who believes deeply in good food, shared laughter, and creating spaces where people feel safe to simply be themselves.
At the heart of everything I do is this:
retreats that are grounded, human, and beautifully run — without fluff, pressure, or pretence.
